Updated Feb. 1, 2021 - The Board of Trustees for the Comal Independent School District approved the attendance boundaries for its newest high school, Pieper High, during its Board meeting Thursday.
Located at 810 Kinder Parkway in San Antonio, next to Pieper Ranch Middle School, Pieper High will follow the same attendance boundaries as PRMS.
As the District prepares to open its fifth high school in August 2021, it is offering a one-time grandfather option to current Smithson Valley High School ninth grade students and PRMS eighth grade students with an older sibling at SHVS residing in the Pieper High attendance boundaries. Students will have that opportunity between Monday, Feb. 1, through Friday, Feb. 5.
Students interested in staying at SVHS must complete the grandfather transfer form within this one-week time period. Students who choose to stay at SVHS will complete their high school years there.
In addition, current PRMS eighth grade students with an older sibling who will attend SVHS next school year are eligible to attend SVHS.
The new campus will open with ninth and 10th grades and offer students a wide range of academic, athletic, fine arts and career and technology programs.
University Interscholastic League (UIL) classification of the new campus is made once an enrollment number is known, usually after the first of the school year. The PHS Warriors will offer the following athletic programs for the 2021-2022 school year.
