CTE Teacher
I have been in education for 13 years and proudly spent 10 of those years as a paraprofessional supporting the ESL population here at Spring Branch Middle School. Since stepping into a new role as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher, I have found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. This year will mark my third year as a teacher. I will embark on a new assignment this year, teaching Foundations for the Future and Professional Communication for 6th grade.
My classes focus on preparing students for life beyond the classroom by teaching essential life skills such as personal responsibility, effective communication, financial literacy, and career exploration. I take great pride in my work because I believe the lessons my students learn will benefit them long after middle school. From everyday decision-making to long-term planning, my goal is to help students build a strong foundation for a successful and independent future.
