Welcome, Wrangler Families!

My name is Malia Faitala, and I’m excited to be part of another great year at Spring Branch. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction – both from Western Governors University.

This is my third year at Spring Branch, and I currently teach Resource English Language Arts for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I also lead Reading Intervention classes and provide in-class support across core subjects to help ensure all students receive the assistance they need to succeed.

I’m passionate about creating a supportive learning environment and working collaboratively with families to help every student grow. When I’m not at school, I’m a proud mom to a fun and energetic 3-year-old daughter who definitely keeps me on my toes! In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and relaxing with a cold Dr. Pepper Zero.
